Terms of Service

Use it freely—but don’t shift the risk to your inbox

Using Inboxtmp means you agree to the boundaries below. These terms were last updated on September 4, 2026, and together with the Privacy Policy form our service agreement.

Allowed uses

  • Receive one-time verification codes, confirmation emails, and short-term download notices.
  • Test email workflows with a separate address when you are authorized to do so.
  • Use long-term aliases to separate legitimate subscriptions, communities, and shopping notifications.
  • Extend inboxes, pause aliases, and delete records within product limits.

These uses are off-limits

  • Fraud, impersonation, harassment, phishing, malware, or unlawful transactions.
  • Creating addresses in bulk, bypassing registration limits, or evading platform bans.
  • Probing tokens, reading other people’s mail, attacking interfaces, or disrupting delivery.
  • Reselling the service, abusing resources, or presenting a temporary inbox as a permanent vault.

Limits of responsibility

Start by clarifying who controls what

Email delivery crosses multiple systems. The responsibilities below help prevent third-party delays, accidental deletion, or loss of important information from being mistaken for a promise of permanent storage.

Item Inboxtmp’s responsibility Your responsibility
Temporary inbox lifetime Show the countdown and provide an available extension option Complete tasks and save needed results before expiration
Email delivery Process mail that reaches our systems and complies with the rules Check the address, allow time for the sender, and understand that third parties may reject delivery
Long-term aliases Provide creation, pausing, deletion, and recent activity history Maintain the receiving mailbox, protect your login, and keep a recovery method
Content legality Respond to valid reports and block clear abuse Ensure your purpose, email content, and third-party actions are lawful
Important information Provide limited features for the published retention period Use a reliable long-term mailbox and independent backups

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using this site, you confirm that you have the capacity to enter into this agreement and agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it to these terms.

If you do not agree, stop using the service and destroy any temporary inboxes or aliases still under your control. Some regions may require a guardian’s consent; you are responsible for following the age requirements where you live.

2. The service

We provide temporary inboxes without an account, as well as long-term aliases accessed with an email passcode, recent delivery records, and optional one-time-code protection. Specific lifetimes, quotas, domains, and features may change with capacity and security needs.

The service is primarily intended for short-term email reception and address separation. It is not a licensed communications service, encrypted vault, permanent archive, or emergency contact channel. Nothing on a marketing page should be interpreted as a guarantee beyond these terms.

3. Temporary inbox duration

New inboxes are valid for three hours by default, and the interface may allow extensions up to an overall limit. Once the countdown ends, you destroy the inbox, or the system closes it under security rules, the address and emails may be unrecoverable.

Changing the address starts a new receiving relationship; mail from the old address is not migrated automatically. Complete verification, save needed information during the active period, and avoid linking important accounts that must be recovered later to a temporary address.

4. Long-term aliases

Long-term aliases forward incoming mail to a receiving mailbox you control and provide a limited activity history. Prefix creation is subject to format, quota, and reserved-word restrictions; the system may reject names that are misleading, infringing, or disruptive to operations.

When an alias is paused, new mail is discarded rather than queued, and deletion cannot be undone. You are responsible for confirming that the destination mailbox works and keeping an account recovery method that does not depend on this site.

5. Login and account security

An email passcode verifies your current control of the receiving mailbox, and your first login may automatically create a management identity. Do not forward passcodes, share tokens, or stay signed in on untrusted devices.

After enabling one-time codes, store your authenticator and recovery arrangements securely. Recovery requests after losing a device may require additional verification, and we cannot guarantee access recovery without sufficient evidence.

6. Fair use and automation

Do not use scripts to create inboxes at high frequency, scrape mail, consume quotas, or evade rate limits. Do not use multiple addresses to bypass third-party registration, trial, or ban policies. Public interfaces are for normal product use only and do not grant permission for bulk commercial use.

We may limit or temporarily block access based on request frequency, unusual patterns, and resource impact. Measures will generally be proportionate to the risk, but during an active attack they may take effect without prior notice.

7. Prohibited content and conduct

Do not use the service for fraud, phishing, harassment, threats, malware distribution, trading in child sexual abuse material, intellectual-property infringement, or other unlawful conduct. You must not impersonate others, probe address tokens, or attempt to read mail that is not yours.

If you discover suspected unlawful content, send necessary evidence and the address to support@inboxtmp.com, but do not redistribute harmful attachments. We may remove content, disable access, retain the minimum evidence needed for investigation, and cooperate with authorized authorities as required by law.

8. Third-party services

Whether a sender accepts temporary domains, when it sends mail, and what that mail contains are controlled by third parties. Third-party links, downloads, and transactions are subject to their own terms; we are not responsible for their accuracy, security, or performance.

Mail may be delayed or fail because of sender delays, DNS, networks, spam policies, or receiving-mailbox restrictions. We maintain our own systems, but cannot guarantee that every third-party email will arrive at a particular time.

9. Intellectual property and feedback

The site software, brand, interface, and original explanations are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms grant only a limited, revocable, non-transferable license needed for normal use of the service.

You retain rights in lawful email content and authorize us to process it as needed to provide, protect, and troubleshoot the service. We may use product suggestions you submit to improve the service, but this does not transfer ownership of email content.

10. Suspension, termination, and changes

We may modify, suspend, or end features to address maintenance, capacity, security, legal requirements, or product changes. We will try to give advance notice of foreseeable major changes; urgent security measures may take effect immediately.

If you breach these terms, create risk, or use the service abnormally over an extended period, we may restrict the relevant address, identity, or network access. Termination will not restore expired data or eliminate liability arising before termination.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or permanent storage. Choose an appropriate mailbox and keep independent backups for important accounts, credentials, contracts, payments, and recovery information.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses. Any liability that cannot be excluded will be limited under applicable law; nothing here reduces consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

12. Disputes, updates, and contact

If a problem occurs, first contact support@inboxtmp.com with reproducible steps, the time, and the addresses involved. We will try to resolve it in good faith. Applicable law and the competent courts are determined by the service’s place of operation and mandatory consumer-protection rules.

Updates to these terms will change the date at the top of the page; major changes may be announced through the site. Continuing to use the updated service means you accept the new terms, but updates will not retroactively remove rights that arose lawfully.
